lonny kalfus traveled the globe for many years working on location, primarily for top graphic designers and corporate annual reports. Before that he worked for the NY Times as a regular freelancer for 7 years. Since 2006 he has retired from assignment work and transitioned to fine art photography. Currently his interest has been in photocollage using images from his own library to create graphic collage. His influencers include Bill Brandt, Irving Penn, Man Ray, Andy Warhol and the Russian graphic designers of the early soviet era, particularly El Lissitsky
