I set out to do a project that would emulate the TriX black and white film i had started out with, manipulated

in P-shop to have the grainy effect from "pushing" the film. It became this series of portraits, one of my faves.

"Pearl" was the first formal portrait I did shortly after announcing my decision to forsake dentistry for photography. the rest of the circumstances around this gig are hidden in the mists of time!
